The first step towards unlocking your inner potential is to understand yourself. Self-awareness is the key to personal growth and development. Once you know yourself and have done a deep analysis of who you are and who you truly want to be, it becomes easier to create a roadmap to achieve your goals and work on your weaknesses and strengths.
From my own experience, I feel, once you know the roadmap to strengthen your personality you have a better chance to do your own self-discovery.
Following a roadmap with predefined timelines helps you get better outcomes and also helps you understand how you would want your image to be perceived by others in personal and professional space. this also enables you to manage your emotions and persona according to situations. These skills are essential in personal and professional relationships.
Personality Development
One should never forget personality development is a continuous process, and it involves learning, adapting, and growing every day. The thing is once you start doing daily activities towards self-improvement it becomes a habit.
Good habits are all about consistency and continuity.

Keeping up with Self Growth
Previously I talked about GoalSet GoldRule of Habit, here is what you need to know about making and keeping change via Roadmap.
- Knowing the skills or change you want to adopt: let a take the example of Mr. Rajiv Singh who I coached for fear of public speaking, yes people have stage fear and is very much true in more them 95% of people you may know even around you.
Rajiv had experts in his own domain and 1on1 consulting was working very fine for him but when he wanted to do group training and online training he has a setback he wasn’t up for it due to stage fear.
So we broke down problems via 1st stage of a roadmap to change and adopt. we identified these problems like basic technical learning, using online video tools, online presentations, self-video making, and so on.
- Create a Challenge to Acquire New Skills: Nothing great can be achieved in a day, so small baby steps go a long way. So in the case of Rajiv, I gave him his 2nd stage roadmap to daily small challenges to achieve his goal for the small problems we needed to work on stated above.
The point is to achieve your Goal, when we do not break down a goal into small ones it becomes difficult and time-consuming for one to achieve and most of the time people give up the process and end up not achieving their goal.
The best bet to achieve your goal is when your goal is broken down into smaller goals with a well-designed roadmap with smaller challenges that helps gets result faster and better which enables you to achieve the end goal. - Practice what you Preach Roapmap: We further broke the roadmap into smaller tasks. So for the next 21 days, Rajiv would spend 1 hour practicing his technical skills and exploring online media and video tools. Then further he kept using them for another 90 days for his online 1-2-1 consultation sessions for shorter durations of 30 mins each. This allowed him to access and refined his newly acquired skills.
Our primary focus was on stage fear and video making, so alongside we had another small daily challenge roadmap that we were rigorously working on. Rajiv started working on making 30-sec self-recording videos and increased the frequency to 20 mins within 30 days, and 2 hours in 90 days which led them to make his content delivery and his video presentation more solid.
These smaller steps made Rajiv more open to the stage as a public speaker and obviously more confident. Rajiv’s content on his expertise was always solid but he just needed expertise in a different domain to get his own skills to the masses.
Self-growth and development are crucial in today’s competitive world. It involves acquiring new skills, upgrading existing ones, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies depending upon what are want to achieve.
A company of like-minded people and people who are more successful than you, will always give you more and teach you more, So yes company matter.
